2. Renewal of Handicap Flags State Issued Disabled Permits will validate handicap flag usage for one year. Please renew your Permit status in Golf Shop annually (October). Physician’s notes will validate handicap flag usage for 30 days. Please see the Golf Shop at the end of the 30 days if you are still in need of a handicap flag and you can file for an extension. 3. Cart Usage with a Handicap Flag a) Members must keep golf carts on the path as much as possible. b) Carts will not be allowed inside any roped off areas. c) Handicap stakes indicate where all approved handicap carts must park near the greens. Handicap carts must use the shortest route possible from the cart path to the handicap stakes and back. At no time should any golf cart circumnavigate the green surrounds. Handicap carts must always stay on the cart path for Long Mean hole number 3 and must remain on the cart path near the greens on Long Mean 9 and 18. d) Handicap carts must remain on the cart path near all tee boxes. e) For safety reasons, it is not permitted to operate a golf cart on severe slopes, along lake banks and between sand bunkers. These areas must be avoided at all times. f) Handicap flags may be used by the qualified individual only. Spouses and other players are not permitted to use the flag in the absence of the qualified person. g) Disregard of this policy will result in loss of privilege for the qualified individual. h) Course management reserves the right to restrict all cart traffic when excessive heat, moisture stress, new turf, or other weather-related or maintenance-related conditions create extreme safety issues or which would result in any cart traffic causing serious damage to the course. On such days the course will be designated “Cart Path Only” for all players, including those qualified individuals with a handicap flag. If at any time it is apparent these conditions exist, please call the Golf Shop for more information. C. Cart Rental from the Club The Club will maintain a fleet of golf carts for use by members and guests. These carts will only be used for the purpose of playing golf. Rental carts shall not be utilized for personal use . Rental agreements will be made in the golf shop. Charges for the rental will be at the published rental rate, which is established on an annual basis.
