FCC White Paper Report
o It is estimated that a renovated clubhouse without an expanded event space could still only support approximately 120 – 130 members attending an event without a dance floor. Without added event space, the capacity remains limited. o The number of member events increased substantially to 105 in 2024. Of the 105 events held, 39 had more than 120 participants, and 15 (including town halls) exceeded 170 attendees. (see exhibit 1 at the end of the FAQ’s for a list and attendance of member events) We do not know how many members might have attended these events if the function room was larger. Similar to the pool, many members questioned why a new pool was needed as only a few members used the existing pool. When the cabana and pickleball projects were proposed, consultants said we would need more courts and dining space. However, the project was reduced in scope, resulting in higher membership costs in the future. • Waitlisting Due to Capacity Constraints: o Many member events sell out within thirty minutes of opening registration. Some examples include Dueling Pianos, Trivia Nights, and holiday events like the Easter Brunch, which has increased by 50% since 2019 to 250 participants. • Signature Golf Events: o Since 2018, the social experience for golf events has increased significantly despite many golf participants being waitlisted due to events being planned indoors and limiting capacity due to weather concerns. In some cases, the waitlist was removed as the weather forecast improved. However, members had made other plans by that time.
Fall Festival (formerly the Welcome Home Mixer): 96% increase— 350 attendees (peak 2022: 387). In 2024, attendance was 320. The Summer Ahead Celebration (formerly the Last Blast): 21% increase - 319 attendees (peak 2022: 362) Men's One-Day Member Guest: 150% increase - 184 attendees (peak 2023: 200)
