conduct a daily review of case counts and other critical data that will affect our

decision making moving forward. This is not permanent, but we need more

time to review how we can open safely for all involved, therefore no significant

operational changes are planned at this time. However, after careful review of

safety precautions and protocol, we do feel we can re-open our tennis courts

for doubles play, beginning Monday, May 4. We understand it can be difficult to

stay 6 feet apart when playing doubles, but we feel it can be done if players

are conscious about it as they have been while golfing. Please note that we

continue to request that you only touch your own tennis balls, which need to be

marked for identification.

Just a quick note about our team and how proud I am of how they have

stepped up to the plate at a time when their own families are so greatly

affected by this health crisis. Early on, we broke up our staff up into small

teams, and those teams do not interact closely at any time. They eat

separately and even have separate restrooms. We have done this to protect

our amenities, since if one team saw an outbreak all operations would not have

to close down. We also did this for the safety of our staff so they felt protected

at work. This re-opening has caused a great deal of anxiety as to how we can

safely have them interact with one another again, let alone the membership in

a service capacity. They bought into our methodology and have done

everything we have asked, including safety precautions when they are not at

work. Jumping the gun and opening too soon would be letting them down. We

must have a safe and secure environment for everyone, and we are working

towards that goal.

We caution our members to please continue to make decisions based on your

own personal health. The new executive order asks that seniors (over 60 in the

state of Florida) and those with underlying health conditions, still stay home
