COVID-19 UPDATE

As your families adjust to our world’s new normal, our team is adjusting to

updated procedures, reduced contact with the membership and a season we

never saw coming. This is typically our busiest time of year with the Cabana

packed with families for spring break, the golf courses filled with tournaments,

and your social calendars buzzing with house parties, concerts, theatre and

more. We are all adjusting and it requires a lot of commitment and patience to

keep our community healthy. I know first-hand how challenging this is for

families. I have three young children at home and my wife and I are committed

to doing our part to flatten the curve by keeping them home for the time being.

Without school, sports and other activities my children are anxious to get out

and see friends. We all crave social interactions and the camaraderie we have

grown accustomed to in life. It is difficult for us all to remind ourselves that if we

do our part to stay home whenever possible we can help everyone stay safe.

This morning I reviewed the Florida Health update on Covid-19. This is an ever

changing health crisis and it’s important to read up daily on all of the cases,

stats and outlook. I was surprised to read the age range of infected people in

Lee County was 23-89 years old. It has been suggested to think of anyone you

encounter as infected, since most transmissions to others are happening when

someone is showing no symptoms at all. PLEASE consider this in your day to

day life at Fiddlesticks. I have heard disheartening reports of house parties and

other gatherings that put our community in jeopardy. We want to be able to
