Article X – Officers
The FLGA 9 - Holer President shall preside at all meetings of the association and the Executive committee. She shall be an ex - officio member of the Board and advisor member of the Executive Committee for two years following retirement from office. The President shall be responsible for all Chairpersons knowing their duties and performing them satisfactorily. She shall familiarize herself with parliamentary procedure so as to properly conduct business meetings. She shall be authorized to sign checks in the absence of the Treasurer. She shall keep a cumulative loose - leaf book containing annual reports of all officers. This book shall be passed on to each succeeding President. The President will also serve as the Membership Chairwoman. The Vice - President shall assist the President in whatever executive duties the President assigns her. She shall perform the duties of the President should the President resign or be absent. The Vice - President shall serve until the nominating committee presents nominations for a new President to the membership for election. The Vice - President shall be a member of the Executive Committee. She shall also serve as the Golf Chairwoman of the Nine Hole Invitational. The Secretary shall keep records of proceedings of business meetings and of Executive Committee meetings. She shall handle all correspondence. In her absence a Secretary pro - term shall be named by the President. She shall preside at meetings in the absence of the President and Vice - President. The Secretary ’ s records are to be kept separate from the President ’ s annual reports and are to be passed on to each succeeding Secretary. The Treasurer shall collect all monies belonging to the FLGA 9 - Holers membership. She shall maintain, in writing, amounts of money collected and appropriated for golf prizes, luncheons and other purposes and provide each chairperson with a memo of appropriation for their respective functions. The Treasurer ’ s report shall be given at the opening luncheon and at the end of year luncheon, at business meetings, or any time upon request of the Executive Committee. Accounts shall be audited in the absence of the President or Secretary.
