CLUB OPERATIONS UPDATE
After several weeks of social distancing, we are seeing the results of our
shared sacrifice. Experts agree that social distancing is working and we must
continue to be vigilant in how we interact with one another. While it isn’t easy, it
is necessary. We crave personal connection with our neighbors and friends
and long for the good ‘ole days when we were able to spend a lot more time
joking and laughing and less time watching the news and waiting for new
statistics to be released. Our team remains hopeful that we will be together
soon and that we will continue the tradition of camaraderie and togetherness
that has been a part of Fiddlesticks since its inception.
While our thoughts and prayers are focused on this not happening, we need to
be prepared if one of our members or staff test positive for the virus. Many
have inquired about being notified or what steps would be taken to ensure the
safety of the community. First and foremost, if you test positive, it is important
to understand that you are not at fault. It is possible that people following all of
the necessary precautions could still contract COVID-19. We would not blame
you for contracting the virus, we will however support you and offer assistance
in any way possible.
It is extremely important that I am notified if anyone in the community tests
positive so that we can assist in contact tracing. We would most likely be called
upon by the Department of Health to assist with notifying other members and
staff that you have been in contact with over the preceding 14 days. If one of
